Earlier this fall, we hosted an art contest for kids 18 & under. We asked participants to show the happiness that dogs and/or cats bring to them. We were so impressed with the entries we received, and had such a hard time picking out just one winner! So after much tough deliberation, we narrowed it down to two: a first place winner & a second place winner.

The First Place winner is Allison Chappell! Her entry will serve as the 2021 AWF art print, displayed proudly at our shelter. In addition, her artwork is featured on the 2021 AWF stationary! The stationary is printed locally by Julin Printing, and is available at 10 pieces for $10.

The Second Place winner is Joslyn Kray. Her entry is printed on canvas tote bags. The totes are printed locally at Monticello Sports, and are available for $12 each.

Congratulations to these two exceptional artists!! And thank you to everyone else who participated — we loved seeing all of your wonderful art!

If you’re interested in getting some stationary or tote bags of your own, both items are available at the AWF shelter in Monticello, or can be shipped to you at cost. In addition, items can be purchased at Century House in Monticello.

Thanks for your continued support of the shelter! We look forward to next year’s contest!!
