Starsky is a sweet pup that loves to give kisses, play ball, and spread joy. He gets along with kids, other dogs, and is still figuring out cats. This boy is so adorable! Starsky would love to have another dog in the house so he does not get lonely and a family that will play with him. Starsky's adoption fee is $175. This includes neuter, rabies, distemper, flea/tick/heart worm prevention, and microchip.

Toby is all puppy! This playful boy would thrive in a home that can enjoy all of his clumsy antics while teaching him how to be the best boy he can be. Toby adores cuddles, wanting to be near his people as much as possible. Toby's adoption is $350, with $100 be refunded when he is neutered closer to his first birthday. Large dog breeds benefit in their joints from the waiting a little longer to neuter. He has his first round of shots.

Apollo is very playful and happy. Throw a tennis ball or include him in any game and Apollo is happy to participate. Not bothered by cats, Apollo gets along with most dogs but should be the only dog in the home as he gets stressed out and protective. He also does not like too many people around as it is overstimulating so a laid back home would be best. This boy will supervise you while doing dishes, folding laundry, going for a drive, or doing yard work. If you are looking for loyal, Apollo is perfect! He knows sit, shake, and can catch any treat you toss in the air. We swear he holds conversations with staff! Apollo's adoption is $175. The Dude is a lab mix that was found as a stray by Independence. Dude has the goofy personality and energy of a puppy. He is a happy go lucky dog that has lots of energy. Dude is always waiting to say hello to cats and gets along with most other dogs but slow introductions are important and always on a leash. While we do not know Dude's history, he loves attention and always has a smile. He would do best with an active owner that has the patience to train him and give him lots of exercise. The Dude loves to play with tug ropes and go for car rides. Dude's adoption fee is $175. This includes neuter, rabies, distemper, bordetella, flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and microchip.

Leo is a 2 year old lab mix and is about 66 pounds. He came to us as an owner surrender. Leo is housetrained and alerts when he needs to go outside. Leo is nervous around new men so he requires a slow introduction. This is increasingly common as we come out of the covid years as many pets were not socialized. Leo prefers to be outside most of the time but loves to be in a lap, giving kisses just as much. He barks at other dogs but not in a mean way. If you have another dog we encourage a slow meet/greet so Leo knows he is not in danger. He is housebroken, enjoys mealtimes, and sniffing around the yard. Leo does not like cats and a home with cats will be an automatic no for him. But he loves small dogs and children as that is what he was raised with! Leo just wants a chance at his furever home so he can give all of his love and get lots of belly rubs in return. Leo's adoption is $175. This covers spay/neuter, rabies, bordetella, distemper, flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and microchip. Kya has the best smile and always wants a hug! This girl has been with Animal Welfare Friends for over a year because she is picky about her playmates, preferring male dogs over female. Kya loves to play fetch, go for hikes, play in the water, and cuddle. Her ideal home would be one with no cats. Kya is our featured pet and is being sponsored by Natural Rapport pet brand.
