We are happy to share that despite the winter weather, many dogs and their owners continue to enjoy the new Duane Ockenfels Memorial Dog Park located at Animal Welfare Friends. Made possible by the Roger Ockenfels family this past year, this phase one dog park is open from sun up to sun down free of charge for all to use. This summer, park users will enjoy the addition of running water.
Due to some recent generous donations specifically earmarked for continued dog park work, Phase Two Dog Park plans are underway. Scheduled to be open by this summer, Phase Two will encompass the remainder of the front AWF property.
The following naming rights are available for those who wish to share their generosity as Phase Two is developed:
- Bag dispensers – $250
- Memorial Brick – $250
- Memorial trees – $1000
- Water Fountain – $3000
- Stone Park Bench – $5000
- Pavilion – $50,000
- Phase Two park naming rights – $100,000
