UPDATE: Raja has been adopted!!

An anonymous sponsor has donated toward Raja’s adoption, so she is now available at a reduced adoption fee to the right home!! 🐶💕

Raja is a sweet, well-mannered dog who is housetrained, walks well on a leash, and loves people! She was brought to another shelter by her previous owner who was moving and couldn’t take her with. We then brought her to our shelter at the beginning of 2019, as her time was almost up and we knew she still had so much to give! She has been waiting patiently for over YEAR now for her family to find her! Maybe she is the right fit for your home?

Raja is a female German Shepherd who was born around July 2010 and weighs 51 pounds. Raja would LOVE someone who can take her on regular walks so she doesn’t get too bored at home! She would also do best in a fenced in yard, as she may try to find her way to an unplanned adventure otherwise (and has escaped a couple of yards in the past – this girl just loves exploration!). Unfortunately, she has not had the best opportunity for socialization with other animals in her previous homes. She will bark at other dogs, although she doesn’t lunge or act aggressive. Still, we recommend she be the only animal in the home. Raja would just love to have her people all for herself — and love them she will!

If you are interested in meeting Raja, please visit the shelter at 22407 Bus. Hwy. 151 on the outskirts of Monticello. Normal business hours are Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 6:30pm. If you have any further questions, you can call 319-975-8283.

Let’s get this girl in a forever home!!
